Enter baby. Once my son got old enough to discern between face value statements and sarcasm, my world got a little bit brighter. After years of having to dumb things down for him and explain phone calls that he overheard to adult friends, he is now executing sarcasm with a skill I can only dream he inherited. I am still in denial that he is old and clever enough to beat me at my own game. I still find myself replying to some of his statements as if he meant them to be taken at face value, only to be schooled that it was sarcasm. Its a tough pill to swallow after being the verbose pharmacist for so many years.
Equipment: Good hiking boots/shoes for the amount of walking. Small children may wear out sooner, so a stroller may be highly recommended.
In recent times, I visited a leisure facility that simply provided different and varied resources. Kids had control over the types of activities they would do. The only rule the centre had been that kids exercising is kids moving. Kids must move for at least 75% of the time they are exercising. This was a great concept as the 10 kids on the room all had different experiences, skill levels and talents that they could call on and use in their desired activity. The kids that had better coordination levels and higher skill sets were able to set activities that provided greater challenges for them. The other kids with lower coordination levels and skills were still gaining significant benefits due the level of challenges they could set for themselves. Overall the program was a huge success with kids dancing, playing sports, role playing etc.Kids fitness is a term that is often misunderstood or implemented incorrectly. To some, kids fitness means a heavy fitness routine that involves running long distances, push-ups and crunches. Where as others, believe that kids fitness should be linked to kids sports and the training should correspond with this. It is my belief that Kids fitness is both of these things but is also much more. Kids fitness is a holistic term that involves both exercise routines but also nutrition, mental health and well being as well ones general health. Kids fitness lays its foundations in a strong exercise routine that involve lots of variety. Kids fitness should be centered on play based exercise where games are incorporated into routines that offer basic challenges and rewards. These game based programs should also incorporate small groups as kids respond best when they are training with their peers.
Cribs- After enjoying his/her time in the cradle for a few months, the child will be shifted to the cribs. It is the place where the baby will undergo a transition. That is also where the baby starts sleeping individually. The crib should be guarded with safety hand rails.
